Given the nature of the procedure and the area of the body it affects, patients must take care not to exact pressure on the posterior region post-procedure. This means you will likely be directed to bed rest for the first few weeks. During this time, driving is also prohibited.
You will wear a compression garment 24 hours per day for at least two weeks. Additionally, patients should expect to take at least two weeks off from work or strenuous activity, and possibly more depending on the nature of your work, and how much sitting may be required.
