The Procedure
Your doctor will first thoroughly wash the skin of the area to be treated. General anesthesia and/or a numbing agent will be administered. There are various methods of skin rejuvenation.
Laser and light treatments address pigmentation issues such as sun and age spots. Using lasers or amplified light, the top layer of the skin is resurfaced to eliminate the trouble area.
Dermabrasion addresses acne scars and other skin conditions. Using a high-speed rotating brush, the top layer of the skin is removed.
Chemical peels address mostly facial trouble areas. The chemical penetrates into the first layer of skin, resolving skin irregularities.
Micro-needling with secretRF is a fully customizable treatment that addresses a wide variety of skin aging concerns.
The Recovery
Though recovery time varies depending on the procedure and area of the skin treated, most patients are able to resume normal activities within two weeks of treatment. The treated skin may appear pink or red for several months.
